Ok, I know someon out there is so in tune with Web 2.0 that they have to have the latest innovation on their website. What I'm talking about is the video of themselves on the opening page of theri website. Fess up! Who has one of these?
I have been racking my brain trying to find out how to do this. I've seen it done once and I can never find that website.
What it shows is the Realtor "walking onto the screen" of their site and guiding the viewer to any number of links. It lasts between 30-45 seconds but it is a very powerful and cool thing.
Could someone please tell me how to do this?

Sue Freeman in our remax office did this.. She was filmed on a green screen and then a company
put her with a character. I will try and find out. will you email me at popelynne@gmail.com and I'll send you the info.
I like your oscar character!
You want advice? I would advise AGAINST this!
1) If you subscribe to the theory that most web visitors to real estate sites are NOT looking for a house salesman, but are looking for information, education, listings, etc., then you are giving them EXACTLY what they DON'T want - in their face! For the same reason I strongly suggest NOT having your PHOTO on your home page, this would be ten times worse!
2) Most people surf at work. In cubicles. Most people aren't SUPPOSED to be. So... their sound is turned OFF generally, which would be a wasted "Marcel Marceau" effort on your part. If it's NOT turned off, the minute they get a blaring voice over their speakers, they will shut you down so fast it won't be funny. And probably not remember how they found you in the first place.
3) IF I WAS using your site... and every time I came back to the home page I had to sit through that drivel/crap/advertisement.... I would be furious. It would play over and over and over again EVERY SINGLE TIME.
4) If I was surfing at the same time I was speaking to a client and came upon your website which then began TALKING to me out loud.... I'd again be furious! That exact thing happened to me yesterday. I was mortified.
Why would you purposely want to ANNOY your customers?
I love video. I DO video. But video and music should always be a CHOICE for the viewer, never forced on them because you want them to see it. That does you more harm than good.
Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
