A good friend of mine was telling me about this cool new phone number to get information for phone listings just like the archaic 411 system. Well, I also came across a text service from Google that is also FREE!!
You can text 46645 or GOOGL and get sports scores, business addresses and phone numbers and movie listings!
Go ahead and try it! It's FREE! Of course, standard text messaging rates apply for your phone carrier.
For instance, I type in "Eureka Ca golf course" and with seconds I get the address and phone number to one of our award winning golf courses.
Want to find out what the weather is like in Eureka, Ca? Hpw about Timbuktu?
Send "Eureka ca weather" to 46645 and you get temps and conditions for the next 3 days!
There are just too many options available to us for FREE!!
Football season is almost officially here so I typed in SCORE OAKLAND RAIDERS and sent it to 46645 and immediatley I received the final score of the San Francisco/ Oakland game (18 Raiders and 6 Niners) and also the next game and who they are playing. way too cool!
